Welcome to Blarney Wellness Centre.
Little did Bethan and I know that when we met at a Blarney & District Chamber of Commerce meeting in June 2017, that less than 4 months later we would open Blarney Wellness Centre.
Our decision to work together was borne out of the simple understanding that our approach to clients was whole-istic and thus complimentary to each-other.
Even though our qualifications are completely different, Bethan is a psychotherapist and I’m a complimentary therapist, we both treat the person and look far beyond symptoms to assess which therapy and treatment would be most effective, in other words, each person is treated as an individual. We know that one size does not fit all and that’s why Blarney Wellness Centre works so beautifully.
It’s been an incredible year so far.
Blarney Wellbeing was launched on the 15th of April, a day of community wellness and a precursor to Darkness Into Light. Our ethos was to host a free event for the community whereby they could access information on local activities, resources and services to boost mental and physical wellbeing, and what a day it turned out to be! Over 1,000 people attended throughout the day, local business people sponsored food & beverages and 2 wonderful charities benefited from the event. However the main focus was to listen, to talk to someone and to let people know that they are never alone. The support for the event was phenomenal, therefore highlighting a deep yearning within the community for such services.
We also recently expanded our practice to 2 rooms at Ashdale House and we are both delighted with the growth of our business and have big plans for the future. We continue to strive to support our clients both in mind and body.
